The Cormorants club match at Dandys Ford Match Lake saw the venue continue its excellent run of form with a superb return of bumper weights. Kev Downer (Dandys K) took a splendid 164 lb 12 oz of carp to 5 lb on paste in the margins from peg 21 for a comfortable victory. Dave Hydes fished his favourite bait sweetcorn in the margins to land 135 lb 4 oz of carp to 5 lb for second. Others: A.Haydon 132 lb 2 oz, P.Newman (Sonubaits) 125 lb 9 oz, R.Yeo 114 lb 2 oz; H.Mayers 94 lb 6 oz.

Richard Reeves won the Eastleigh and District A.C club match on Kingham Lake at Winchester.

He landed 18 lb 2 oz of skimmers and roach on pole and pellet from peg 7.

Brian Skeen finished second with 15 lb of bream and skimmers on long pole and pellet from peg 11. Chris Albiston, fishing with Eastleigh for the first time, finished third with 13 lb 4 oz. Others M.Townsend 11 lb, D.Sherfield 9 lb 8 oz and C.Smith 8 lb 10 oz.

Salisbury and District held another club match against T.V.A.C on Steeple Langford which proved slow with the venue’s bream failing to show up. Paul Barnard (Salisbury) fished for roach on the pole and maggot to land 12 lb 8 oz to win. Others: Andy West (T.V.A.C) 9 lb of roach; G.Wright (T.V.A.C) 7 lb 10 oz, S.Palmer (T.V.A.C) 4 lb 4 oz.

Owner John Metcalfe won The Tens League Match on the Canal Lake at Dandys Ford.

He took carp to 10 lb plus a few tench on pole and meat from peg 1 to win comfortably. Others: Sean Franks, 24 lb 4 oz; F.Gumbleton 18 lb 6 oz; J.Andrews 15 lb.

Mad Baits Team Rigmaroles’ Jason Dunne and Marcus Parker made it four wins in a row on Dorset venue Coking Farm when winning The Casting for Cancer charity match. The pair followed up their win in last week’s £2,000 pairs match final with another victory, weighing in an impressive 367 lb of carp with both Dunne and Parker landing the biggest carp from their lake in the match. The pair fished Mad Baits’ The Nutz boilies, while Dave Bowden and Ian Hentschel second with 349 lb of carp to make it a great weekend for the Mad Bait crew.

Judith Potts had an excellent result on Ringwood and District’s Northfield Lake when she landed mirrors of 30 lb 4 oz and 23 lb 12 oz along with commons of 23 lb, 22 lb 10 oz, 19 lb 10 oz and 15 lb 8 oz in a superb haul. Also on Northfield, Harry Button took Small Boy’s Hand at 33 lb 10 oz while Billy Brickwell also had a great result with a 30 lb common.

Another Ringwood Valley water in excellent form has been Christchurch Angling’s Somerley Lake.

Michael Brown took the Three Quarter Linear at 30 lb along with a 25 lb common and a 23 lb mirror. Paul Stephen, enjoying his first trip carp fishing in two years, took commons of 16 lb 11 oz, 17 lb 2 oz, 21 lb 2 oz, 22 lb 14 oz and 24 lb 15 oz plus a 19 lb mirror all taken on Mainline Hybrid boilies.

Over on The Isle of Wight on Rookley Park, Phil Ayliffe took fish of 26 lb 8 oz and 29 lb 12 oz, Mark Foster had a brace of 26 lb 10 oz and 26 lb 4 oz, Mark Pitfield took mirrors of 22 lb, 22 lb 2 oz and 27 lb, Dave Pressy a 22 lb 2 oz and Mark Eastman a 22 lb 6 oz common and a 16 lb 2 oz mirror.

Over on Todber Manor’s Big Hayes, Mark Grimaldi took an impressive 406 lb of carp to 24 lb on Sinister Baits Yately mix boilies.

David Gates took 250 lb of carp to 21 lb 1 oz on solid bags and Sinister Baits Yately mix boilies. Steve Blood took 11 carp to 22 lb. On Paddock Lake, Kevin Wrigglesworth took Shaker at 33 lb 3 oz plus a 23 lb mirror on C.C Moores Live System. Chris Bugler took a 21 lb 9 oz common and a 34 lb 8 oz catfish on C.C Moores Live System. On Little Hayes, Dave Green took eight fish to 25 lb 2 oz on C.C Moores Live System for a personal best and Tom Advert took five carp to 19 lb on Mainline Cell.
