A NEW Home Bargains store will open in a Hampshire town this weekend.

The variety store chain has invested approximately £1m into its new store in Alton Retail Park, Mill Lane, GU34 4EP, which will be officially opened at 8am on Saturday, May 18.

Home Bargains is creating 45 new jobs in the local community with its store in Alton. In total, it will employ 39 team members and six management members.

The new Alton store will join more than 600 outlets across the UK.

Mike Morris, the new Alton store manager, said: “I am excited to be opening a new Home Bargains store in Alton and also proud to have been able to support the local community by creating 45 new jobs. Please come along for opening day on Saturday, May 18 to see the fantastic ranges we have to offer for both food and non-food products!”

The 12,981 sq. ft store, will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh, chilled and frozen food.
