AN ALRESFORD man has been banned from the road for almost two years for drink driving.
Callum Bachelor, 30, of Dickenson Walk, was caught on Saturday, December 9 driving on the A32 near Chawton, a court heard.
He was found to have 175 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. This is more than twice the legal limit for driving, which is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
He pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, April 16.
Bachelor has been disqualified from driving for 20 months, which can be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a course by May 28 next year.
He has also been fined £1,915, and must also pay a £766 victim surcharge and costs of £85. The total amount of £2,766 must be paid by May 15.
