HALTERWORTH Primary School pupils recently celebrated World Book Day by donating to a regional charity.
As well as dressing up on Thursday, March 7, the school, in Romsey, supported Children’s Bookfest, in their Feed the Mind initiative.

Kerry Somers, from the school, said: “The charity came into school to tell our children about the work they do to ensure as many children as possible on the south coast have access to books. Since the charity's visit, the children have been collecting donations of new books which will then be gifted to foodbanks. Each book will then be specially selected by a child to take home and cherish.
“Our children are really proud and excited to see that they are actively helping other children.”
