A ROWNHAMS drug driver has been disqualified from the road for a year.

Bradley Coole, 30, of Harrison Way, was arrested by police in Langston Road, Havant, on November 21, a court was told by prosecutor Serena Edwards.

Coole was tested and returned a reading for BZE, a breakdown product of cocaine, of 116 per litre of blood when the legal limit is 50ug, making him more than twice the limit.

At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday February 27, Coole also admitted driving with no insurance.

As well as the 12-month ban, District judge Stephen Apted fined him £410 with £85 costs and a £160 victim surcharge.

The financial penalties of £655 must be paid in full by August 26, the court ordered.
