THE organisers of Winchester’s Hat Fair are looking for volunteers to help at this year’s event.
The annual event takes place throughout the city centre and green spaces between Friday, July 5 and Sunday, July 7.

Event organisers are looking for volunteers to keep the festival running, with tasks including helping to set up areas, tending to performers’ needs, raising money to support the festival, sharing information about the shows and local facilities and giving directions around the city.
To take part, all prospective volunteers need to be aged 18 and over, friendly and responsible. In return, they’ll gain festival experience, meet performers from around the world and enjoy the shows, plus meals and refreshments.
