A TRIAL date has been set for a man charged with attempted murder following an attack in Stanmore earlier this year.
Police were called to a home in Fox Lane, Stanmore, on Wednesday, January 3, to reports that a man in his 70s and woman in her 60s had been attacked.
Luke Robert Stride, 33, of Fox Lane, was charged with the attempted murder of Leslie Roy Foulds and assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Julie Stride.
Stride, who remains in custody at HMP Bullingdon, was due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on Wednesday, February 7, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Due to administrative problems, Stride was not transported to the court and he was later deemed medically unfit to appear via video link.
Stride is due to stand trial at Winchester Crown Court on June 24.
He will remain in custody.
