The NHS public consultation meetings for the proposed Hampshire Hospitals restructure are now well underway.

From various reports it seems that there is considerable concern being expressed regarding the proposed downgrading of the A&E unit at the RHCH.

In her Letters from Westminster, Flick Drummond has made it clear that she supports the proposals including the downgrading of the Winchester A&E unit. She said she had been asked by a few consultants to provide leadership on the issue and was happy to do so.

Leadership also involves listening so I hope she is attending a few public consultations to hear residents' views in order that she can represent them - rather than the health establishment.
