AS the demolition of the former Friarsgate Medical Centre nears its end, one section of wall has remained untouched.
Hendog's well-known artwork of Big Issue seller Kev Collick has been kept throughout the work.
The surgery, unused since 2014, will be demolished to make way for a pop-up park, and ultimately be part of the Central Winchester Regeneration, better known as the Silver Hill scheme.
However, any rumours of the artwork being kept were quashed this week, as Winchester City Council confirmed it would be going.

A spokesman said: “The reason this wall remains is that in the plans part of the wall is retained to create a screen/potential seating from it for the next phase - but the artwork won’t remain.”
Another Hendog image, of the homeless teddy bear is on a building on Chesil Street which is also earmarked to be knocked down for the expansion of Chesil Theatre.
