Winchester Flower Club says it is very sad to announce the death of Trish Spiers, the previous chairman of the club.
Mrs Spiers, of St Cross, had held office for a total of 22 years. During that time she headed up teams responsible for assembling floral designs in Winchester and Salisbury Cathedrals. She oversaw several anniversary dinners, the latest being the club’s diamond anniversary celebration which was held at the Gurkha Museum in 2021.
Her love of flowers filled her life and her service to the club was very much appreciated. Her knowledge of contemporary and traditional floral design was extensive.
Her contributions to the club will be truly missed. A thanksgiving service is being held on Wednesday November 15 at the Chapel at St Cross at 12.30pm.
