A CONSTRUCTION worker had a seizure while working on the roof of a Winchester High Street building.
The man, who works for SM5, was rescued by firefighters from the roof of the former Closs and Hamblin shop before being taken to hospital.
Crews from Eastleigh were called just after midday on Monday, October 16. An ambulance, a search and rescue vehicle and a fire engine were parked in the High Street and left shortly after 1pm.
The site manager for SM5, Gentian’s contractors, confirmed that the medical emergency was not work-related. The casualty remains in hospital and the manager is waiting to hear how he is.
