A WINCHESTER man convicted of shoplifting and making threats has been hit with an interim criminal behaviour order. 

Kevin Lambert is the fourth Winchester person in two weeks to get a CBO, which bans people from certain streets and shops.

Lambert, 37, of Hyde Gate, pleaded guilty to nine offences at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, five counts of stealing from the Co-op in City Road between September 1 and 20. He stole alcohol totalling £123.95.

Lambert also pleaded guilty to stealing from Marks and Spencer, in High Street on May 26 and September 12, when he took food and alcohol totalling £60.50.

He also admitted to using threatening Brett Jones and Neil Parker on May 26 in Middle Brook Street.

Magistrates adjourned sentencing until November 21, releasing him on unconditional bail. 

They also imposed an interim criminal behaviour order (CBO) prohibiting him from entering Winchester High Street, except between 3pm and 5pm when he can only enter Boots and WH Smith. 

He is also banned from Middle Brook Street between St George's Street and High Street, where Sainsbury's is located, except between 3pm and 5pm, as well as Co-op, in City Road, and Tesco in Andover Road.

The other three Winchester offenders to receive CBOs are Michelle Humble, Connor Matthews and Joseph Flowers.
