ORGANISERS are making the final preparations for a shopping fair in Hampshire, designed to raise money for small local charities.

The Hampshire Fair will be back this year at a new location within the park area of The Grange in Northington, near Alresford.

The committee is hopeful that it will be their best event yet, with more than 70 stands for visitors to browse.

The fundraising event on Wednesday, October 4 is open from 9.30am to 4pm, giving visitors the chance to make an early start on their Christmas shopping while enjoying the surrounding countryside.

Stallholders will be selling everything from clothes, homeware and garden items to foods, spirits and wines - including bottles of sparkling from The Grange Estate.

Hampshire Fair hopes that the improved event layout and new location within the park will improve the shopping experience and create a fun and easy day out for visitors, while also raising funds for Hampshire charities.

Organisers are also pleased to announce the return of the popular café, serving delicious lunches, teas and cakes.

Stallholders give 10 per cent of their takings to the chosen small charities which are changed every two years.

This year the fair is supporting Kids on Track, The Grange Festival Learning@The Grange and The Murray Parish Trust.

Event sponsors include ADAM Architecture, Moore Barlow, solicitors, NFU Mutual, Rathbones, Kirker Travel, The Grange Festival and headline sponsor Knight Frank.

Tickets are available to pre-book for £5 at ticketsource.co.uk/hampshirefair or by calling 0333 666 3366. Tickets purchased in person on the day will cost £7.
