A CHARITY tackling muscular dystrophy has raised more than £700 thanks to a fundraising event at Rick Stein's Winchester restaurant. 

Taking place on Friday, September 15, the High Street restaurant was packed with people supporting Winchester Muscular Dystrophy.

Attendees were treated to coffee and cake and could take part in a raffle.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “It was a really enjoyable community event. The raffle was very successful due to the array of lovely prizes.

“The Rick Stein crew could not be faulted for their kindness and hospitality.”
