ITS Friends have made another grant to the Hospital of St Cross.
The £17,000 brings the total given to more than £190,000. Grants have helped with new features and essential maintenance of the ancient almshouse.
Founded in 1132 the Hospital has housed male residents, known as Brothers, throughout its existence and it also serves as a point of pilgrimage for thousands of visitors every year.
The Friends of the Hospital of St Cross was established in 2011 to raise funds to support the Hospital. Members have free access to its public spaces and gardens and can participate in a programme of events, often held in the historic buildings and beautiful gardens.
