A ROMSEY café has kept up its winning streak, gaining the most votes from readers to be crowned Café of the Year for the third year running.
The results are in and Dish Deli and Kitchen has taken the top spot for the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser’s Café of the Year competition.
The café, in Latimer Street, was delighted to hear the news having beaten a shortlist of eight other cafes across central Hampshire.

General manager Cameron MacDonald, who’s worked at ‘Dish’ for eight years, said: “We were thrilled to even be nominated, let alone win it.
“We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our customers for their votes and all their support. We really take pride in every dish that goes out, we have a very loyal customer base and great staff too.
“Winning for the third time is great recognition of all the hard work we put into the business every day.
“Here’s to many more years of keeping Romsey fed and caffeinated.”
Michael Hedges opened Dish Deli and Kitchen with his partner Rach in 2011 after years spent working in hospitality.
As well as claiming the top spot for the Chronicle and Advertiser, the business has just received its third Good Food award, an Elite Award from Scores on the Doors, for its third five out five food hygiene rating in a row.
The café is yet to score anything less than top marks in its inspections.

Owner Michael Hedges said: “We’ve always had a very loyal customer base which we are very thankful for. We wouldn’t have survived without them and we want to thank all our customers and staff for our continued success.
“We might be having a few drinks at the end of the week to celebrate.”
Other cafes that made the shortlist included Romsey businesses Tea Cups, Kitchen Café – Cedars Nursery, That Little Tea Shop and Winchester cafes Open House Deli, Handlebar Café, Cabinet Rooms and Café Monde.
Fellow Romsey business, Chamber Café in The Hundred, also won Café of the Year but for the Southern Daily Echo.
Dish Deli and Kitchen serves traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch options, while the deli area stocks local cheeses, eggs, bread, pies, quiches, jams, chutneys, snacks, alcohol and other cupboard staples.
