DRIVERS are being warned of delays and disruption as festival goers return home.

Electronic duo Chase and Status closed the five-day-long Boomtown festival on Sunday, August 13.

Although thousands of visitors left in the early hours of this morning, many campers will be heading home today.

Traffic restrictions remain in place until Tuesday, August 15 across Chilcomb, Ovington, Alton, Bramdean, Easton, Alresford, Itchen Abbas, Cheriton and Winchester.

There was heavier than usual traffic in Winchester city centre with buses ferrying festival-goers to the railway station throughout the day.

Stagecoach has warned passengers of delays and disruption as the bus service works around the road closures and traffic caused by the end of Boomtown.
