Winchester City Council planners refused one application this week.

Paul Curtis had an application refused for the use of land as an extension to the existing builders yard at The Meadows, Blanchard Wells Ltd, Forester Road in Soberton.

In Wickham, Geoffrey Phillpotts withdrew an application to replace the existing wooden, single glazed modern French doors within the rear elevation with the same wooden doors but double glazed; to include an opening window across the top two glazed section on the right door. This was at Dale Cottage, Bridge Street.

All other applications were permitted. 

In Bishop's Waltham, Antonio Chierchia had an application permitted for the retention of existing garage workshop / store, with rest room, used in connection with motor trade business at the garage at Newtown Farm House, Tangier Lane.

Peter Hayes can install an internal insulation to external walls at Banks Bar and Bistro, The Old Granary, Bank Street.

Mrs Snook's application for a replacement of the existing conservatory with an orangery extension with lantern rooflight at Greenways, Peach Hill Lane in Crawley.

In Durley, Mr Taylor's application was permitted for a single storey side and rear extension following demolition of conservatory at The Orchard, Manor Road.

Dean Stoneman can have a two storey side extension at Giles Farm, Greenwood Lane.

In the Itchen Valley, Mr and Mrs Browning had an application permitted for a two-storey side extension, single storey rear extension, new dormer windows, covered porch, new chimneys and alterations to existing roof. This is at Grange View House, Rectory Lane.

Mr and Ms Marter and Bellisario can have a two-storey rear extension at 1 New Farm Cottages, Northington Road.

In Littleton, an application from Feltham-King was permitted for a rear extension and dormer loft extension at 8 Rozelle Close.

Mr Rehman, in Alresford, had an application permitted for a single storey side extension, front porch extension, new brick steps to entrance, new fencing, garden room workshop and store abutting side at 1 Lime Road.

Robin Halliday's application was permitted to remove condition 6 of W03238/03 (93/00338/OLD) - garage conversion for ancillary use at 19 Austen Avenue in Oliver's Battery.

In Otterbourne, Louise Hedges Pratt had an application permitted for a rear extension creating an enlarged kitchen and utility room; a dormer structure with a Sussex hip creating a Master en-suite; change of roof from concrete tiles to a plain clay tile, plus two conservation rooflights, and associated works. This is at Myrtle Cottage, Main Road.

In Shedfield, Mr and Mrs Duncan's application was permitted for a single storey rear extension, loft extension and conversion including front and rear dormers, at 60 Forest Close.

Peter Amies, in South Wonston, had an application permitted for the relocation of existing detached garage to abut existing dwelling-house and the introduction of new rooflights on rear elevation and removal of existing chimneys. This is at Beacon View, 3 Stavedown Road.

Nick Broughton can demolish an existing extension and build a new one at 20 Bleriot Crescent in Whiteley.

In Winchester, Sarah Jones can have solar panels on the roof of 12 Clifton Road.

An application without a name was permitted for the installation of a 17m high slim-line monopole, supporting six antennas, two equipment cabinets, one electric meter cabinet and ancillary development. This is at the junction of Bereweeke Road and Andover Road.
Diana Arnold's application was permitted for the replacement of existing four windows at front ground floor with wooden white double-glazed sash units at Apartment 2 Pennyfarthing House, 3 Chesil Street.

Riccardo Simonato, at 10 Clausentum Road, can have a ground floor rear extension, full internal refurbishment with associated works, and erection of a garden office at the rear of the property.

Mr and Mrs Burton had an application permitted for a loft conversion to include side facing dormer and associated alterations at 5 Nightingale Close.

Mr and Mrs Simpson had an application permitted for work at 6 Park Road. It's for the demolition of existing side and rear single storey extensions, addition of single storey rear and side extension with internal pool, and internal reconfigurations.

Mr West can have a new timber garage at Beaulieu, 17 St Faiths Road.
