MARWELL Zoo has announced that its popular winter event will be returning in December and will be bigger than ever.

The Marwell Glow nature lights event will feature half a million twinkling lights, brand-new illuminations, photo opportunities and interactive elements. Children of all ages will be able to play in the LED playground, walk across light-up stepping stones, and pose for photos on Rainbow Road.

This year’s multicolour tunnel spans 36m, with the specially created Enchanted Tree towering over the heads of adults and children alike.

“Following the success of last year’s event we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that this year’s displays are even more magical!

“And we’re thrilled to be able to confirm that Father Christmas will be returning to Marwell with an enchanted forest themed grotto for his first ever Glow Marwell event! It’s going to be one not to miss.”

Father Christmas will also make his Marwell debut, handing out gifts at his grotto (£10 per child on selected dates).

Guests with Marwell Glow tickets will be able to visit the zoo from 1pm to visit the resident animals before the evening events being. The trail will be lit from 4pm to 8pm, and Marwell Glow ticket holders will have free access to the zoo.

The animal houses will be closed so their occupants can get a good night's rest, with Marwell inviting visitors to experience the front loop of the zoo in a different light.

Meanwhile, on premium nights Marwell will be adding more excitement with specially selected roaming acts.

Tickets for Marwell Glow will be available to purchase from June 19, following an exclusive member pre-sale event from June 12. For more information, visit Marwell’s website.
