POLICE officers have charged a man after he allegedly threatened people with a machete in Wickam earlier this year.
Officers were called shortly before 5.25pm on Thursday, March 9 to investigate reports that a man with a machete was making threats to people in Wickham Square.
A 39-year-old man from Wickham was arrested.

On Saturday, June 10, police confirmed that William Joseph Castle, of The Circle, was charged with possession of a knife blade/sharp-pointed object in a public place and for using language that was threatening and abusive with the intent of causing fear or provoking violence.
Mr Castle has been bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, June 26.
Two men from Fareham were also arrested, Hampshire Constabulary has said.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and affray and a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of having an offencive weapon, affray and shoplifting relating to the incident.
They have both been released on conditional police bail while police enquiries continue.
