PARCHMENT Street is hosting its first-ever festival to celebrate its independent businesses this weekend.

On Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27 the road with Winchester’s highest concentration of independent businesses will hold the inaugural Patronise Parchment Street.

The event, sponsored by Winchester Business Improvement District (BID), will see a variety of exclusive offers and events with the aim of increasing footfall to the road tucked away off the High Street.

Winchester BID manager, Sarah Davis, said: “It’s great to see everyone coming together to celebrate the independent businesses in Parchment Street. As a Parchment Street business ourselves, we were keen to show our support of this initiative and encourage residents, visitors and students to discover what’s on their doorstep.”

“Parchment Street is lively and vibrant with such a great variety of businesses.  We’re looking forward to welcoming people to celebrate over the weekend.”
