ANYONE wanting to see Winchester High Street emblazoned in red white and blue bunting won't be disappointed.
Council workmen were this evening (May 2) erecting a handful of crowns and bunting on the High Street to mark the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday.
The contractors were utilising the half-dozen double wires that cross the High Street to attach the crowns. The wires are used at Christmas for the festive lights.

One passer-by, who declined to give a name, was heard to say: "Is that it?"
The Union Flag will flutter from the Guildhall and the building will be bathed in appropriate colours.
In the evenings, it will also be lit up with a projection to show the story of a King in waiting, symbols of the Coronation and a celebration of England’s ancient capital and its royal connections.
The city is preparing on Saturday to celebrate the first coronation since 1953.
Street parties are being held across the district and the service will be screened in Winchester Cathedral.
