THERE will be fun for all the family when Day Out with Thomas: The Colour Tour arrives at the Watercress Line.

Running from May 27 to June 4, visitors of all ages will be able to take a ride behind everyone’s favourite blue engine. There will also be the opportunity to create colourful memories by meeting Sir Topham Hatt and Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty and Dusty up close - and even get a photo taken with them.

The year, Day Out with Thomas: The Colour Tour will be celebrating the magic and beauty of colour. There will be three new Rusty and Dusty outdoor entertainment shows, featuring Sir Topham Hatt, Percy, Diesel and Toad. Visitors will also be to enjoy the new bubble zone and children’s sand pit.

Other activities will include Thomas story time sessions, photo opportunities at selfie spots, giveaways for every child and fun time in the Play Pod zones.

Visitors are also encouraged to be on the lookout for local wildlife as they take unlimited rides on the miniature railway and enjoy children’s colourful vintage fairground rides. New for this year is a ‘Food Village’ where attendees can buy a variety of hot and cold food and refreshments which they can then enjoy with a view of the South Downs.

The event is centred around Ropley Station and there is free car parking available.

The Watercress Line’s Interim CEO Rebecca Dalley said: “Don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to have fun at Day Out With Thomas: The Colour Tour this half-term – there's so much going on, it will be an unforgettable treat for everyone.

“There will be unlimited steam train travel between Alton and Ropley every day, but please make sure you book your ride with Thomas when you purchase your tickets online.”
