DRIVERS in Winchester will have 20 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 12 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M3, from 8pm July 12 2022 to 6am April 28 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 12 to 11, carriageway closure for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via local authority network.

• A34, from 8pm May 19 2022 to 6am April 29 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, Lane closures for drainage work.

• M3, from 9pm November 23 2020 to 6am May 3 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 11, slip road closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via National Highways network.

• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am May 3 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.

• A34, from 8pm April 5 2022 to 6am May 3 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Three Maids Hill to Bullington, Lane closures for drainge work.

• M27, from 8pm October 15 2022 to 6am May 13 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 7 to junction 9, Lane closures for Hampshire County Council.

• M27, from 9pm July 25 2022 to 6am May 13 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 9, slip road closure for Hampshire County Council.

• M27, from 8pm July 18 2022 to 6am May 13 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 9 to junction 7, Lane closures for Hampshire County Council.

• A27, from midnight, February 27 to 11.59pm June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal load - Essex to Southampton.

• M27, from 6am November 8 2021 to 6am August 31 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 9 to 14, Narrow lanes and 50mph for Concrete barrier scheme.

• M3, from 9pm December 11 2020 to 6am September 9 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9, slip road closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme.

• M27, from 8pm November 7 2021 to 6am October 12 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 9 to junction 14, Lane closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A303, from 8pm April 24 to 6am April 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

• A34, from 8pm April 25 to 6am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Sutton Scotney Services, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, No diversion for Services closure.

• A34, from 8pm April 26 to 6am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Three Maids Hill, Lane closures for drainage work.

• A34, from 8pm April 27 to 6am April 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Kingsworthy, Lane closures for drainage work.

• M3, from 8pm April 28 to 6am April 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 11, carriageway closure between the slip roads for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme.

• A303, from 8pm April 28 to 6am May 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Barton Stacey to Bullington Cross, Lane closure for inspection works.

• M3, from 8pm May 3 to 6am May 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 9 to junction 10, carriageway closure for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via local authority network.

• A34, from 8pm May 3 to 6am May 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
