THEATRE Royal Winchester has announced a packed programme of shows in April to keep the whole family entertained over Easter.

Looking for a show for the whole family? All generations will enjoy entertaining folk tales from The Arabian Nights including The Little Hunchback and The Voyages of Sinbad in Tales from a Thousand and One Nights. Performed at the theatre on Tuesday, April 11, there will be live music performed by a cast of actor-musicians. As a Pick Your Price show, audiences will be able to choose the price that works best for them, with tickets from just £8.

Children too young for big concerts will enjoy Total Pop Party: The Scream and Shout Tour coming to Winchester on April 13. This introduction to pop celebrates modern-day artists like Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Little Mix and more. The show will also feature popular dance moves, Tik-Tok trends and audience interaction.

There will also be magic in more ways than one with Morgan and West: Unbelievable Science on Friday, April 14. Expect thrills, spills and broadened horizons with a host of captivating chemistry, phenomenal physics and bonkers biology experiments. Plus, there will be high-energy magic in Magical Bones: Soulful Magic on Sunday, April 16, following the Britain’s Got Talent star’s sell-out runs across the UK.

Finally, children and young people interested in learning about theatre can join in with Playmakers’ Let’s Explore Day on Wednesday, April 12. With a range of workshops aimed at children and young people (from school years 2 – 11 and ages 16 – 25) who want to get creative and meet others during the school holidays, they can learn about storytelling, dance, song, sound, and outdoor performance. Workshops take place at Theatre Royal Winchester and cost £10 each. With limited numbers, advanced booking is recommended.
