Looking for a new friend of the four-legged variety? The RSPCA in Hampshire has some pups that it's looking to rehome.

All of their dogs and cats come spayed or snipped, vaccinated and microchipped - so that's a few less things to worry about.

Here are four dogs that are looking for their forever homes.

Henry

Breed: Great Dane

Colour: Black - Grey

Age: 5 Years (approximately)

Location: Ashley Heath Animal Centre

Henry is timid despite his size and took a few days to settle into the kennels. Once he got to know everyone he grew in confidence and is comfortable going out on his walks with his handlers.

His new owners must be prepared to allow Henry time to settle into his new home before expecting him to meet unknown people. When given the time and space to meet new people he is less timid.

Very strong on the lead but he does know some basic commands, he was reported to be housetrained and travels well.

Henry has lived with cats in the past so could be considered for a home where there are already existing cats, providing they are used to living with large breed dogs.

Due to his worries around unknown people, we feel henry is best suited to an adult only home. He will require a larger environment to run around in and plenty of bedding to snuggle into.

Bella

Breed: Lurcher crossbreed

Colour: Tan

Age: 2 Years (approximately)

Location: Ashley Heath Animal Centre

Young Bella is a friendly and affectionate girl who enjoys being groomed and having lots of fuss. She loves playing with balls and toys off lead and really enjoys splashing in the water.

She is reported to be housetrained and travels well and has been good for vets examinations.

Bella does need time to get to know new dog friends and can be reactive towards unknown dogs but is responding well to behavioural training and has made some new doggie friends.

Bella is very focused on her handler in training, enjoys the treats given as rewards.

Having a reasonable sized, enclosed garden will be required for Bella as she really enjoys her off lead time and will be required to be mostly walked on lead when out and about.

Her ideal home would be an adult only home in a quiet, less built-up area where dog walking can be done in quieter areas.

She cannot live with cats or small animals and will require company through the day to settle her into her new routine.

Tia

Breed: Shar-Pei

Colour: Tan

Age: 4 Years (approximately)

Location: Ashley Heath Animal Centre

Hampshire Chronicle: Tia the Shar-Pei is looking for her forever home. Picture credit: RSPCATia the Shar-Pei is looking for her forever home. Picture credit: RSPCA

Tia is an affectionate dog who gets excited to see you and smothers you in kisses.

She travels well, sleeps through the night and is toilet trained but potential adopters need to be aware that she has been diagnosed with an ongoing ear condition that will require lifelong treatment.

Any potential adopters must be willing to provide reasonable evidence that they can afford her vet care as, because she has been diagnosed with a pre-existing condition it will not be covered by insurance.

However, if you are in a position to help a dog like Tia she will make a rewarding companion. She is very snuggly and loves nothing more than to hang out with her favourite people.

Although not essential, she would be best suited to someone that has experience with her breed and will need a home free from children and other pets.

Tia is eager to learn and staff have been working hard on her training which adopters should continue in the home. She prefers her own company over that of another dogs and she dislikes cats and wildlife so needs to be muzzled in public.

Tia has recently been having sleep overs with a member of staff who confirms she is easy going in the home but in the garden hunts for wildlife. Therefore, people who live in a first or second floor flat would be considered.

Choji

Breed: Border Terrier crossbreed

Colour: Tan

Age: 8 Years (approximately)

Location: Godshill Animal Centre

Hampshire Chronicle: Choji the Border Terrier crossbreed is looking for a forever home. Picture credit: RSPCAChoji the Border Terrier crossbreed is looking for a forever home. Picture credit: RSPCA

Choji came into the care of Godshill Animal Centre through no fault of his own and has shown himself to be a sprightly lad who loves his walks and human company.

He could live with calm secondary school age children but with no other animals in the home. He can be left for short periods of time and needs a large garden which is private and secure and quiet walks away from other dogs.

Choji is a real little character and knows his basic commands so will sit and lay down for a treat. He does love a cuddle and if you're sat down, he will try to jump on your lap for a sneaky bit of attention.
