HAMPSHIRE Cultural Trust has joined the stampede and sponsored a Marwell’s Zany Zebras sculpture.

The trust, which champions world-class culture and showcases Hampshire’s creative economy, has thrown its weight behind this year’s art trail.

Jane Baker, director of communications and development for Hampshire Cultural Trust said: “The trust is delighted to give its support to such a world-class public art event that will delight residents and visitors alike.”

Southampton city centre and Marwell Zoo will become the home to a herd of colourful Grevy’s zebra sculptures as part of a public art extravaganza that promises to create an unforgettable summer exhibit.

Kirstie Mathieson, project manager for Marwell’s Zany Zebras said: “We are thrilled that Hampshire Cultural Trust have joined the stampede. The project will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors into the region and provides a great opportunity to shout about all that we have to offer. Not only encouraging the trail-goers to stay in the area for longer, but also, and more importantly, to return time and time again to enjoy our numerous attractions and museums, cities and towns, and stunning countryside.”
