A CONTROVERSIAL housing development could move a step closer this week.
The next 185 homes in a 330-home scheme in Fair Oak - already given the go-ahead - will be looked at by Eastleigh councillors.
Although the outlined scheme was approved early last year, developer Bloor Homes is now putting its detailed plans for 185 homes up for approval.
Councillors will only be looking at the proposals in terms of landscaping, scale and appearance.
An access point from Winchester Road has already been approved.
Detailed plans for the first 41 homes in the scheme were approved by councillors at a meeting in February.
