A WINCHESTER watering hole has reclaimed its crown as Britain's best town pub.

The Wykeham Arms won its title back for the 2016 Good Pub Guide after two years of disappointment.

The 18th century pub, in Kingsgate Street, won the award in 2013 but lost out to the Old Harkers in Chester and The Park in Bedford in the last two years.

It comes after the Pig Hotel in Brockenhurst was named the UK's best holiday hotel by Conde Nast Traveller magazine.
