RAIL passengers are being warned of significant disruption over the bank holiday weekend due to major works.
A track replacement scheme means South West Trains services between London Waterloo and Basingstoke, Portsmouth and Weymouth will run slower and less regularly than usual from Saturday, May 2, to Monday, May 4.
Meanwhile, buses will replace trains between Basingstoke and Eastleigh while the bridge over Down Farm Lane, Headbourne Worthy, is replaced between Saturday morning and Monday night.
Arthur Pretorius, customer service director at the South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance, advised passengers to check times before travel and leave extra time if possible.
