ORGANISERS of Hat Fair, Winchester’s largest festival, are appealing for volunteers to help with this year’s free festival which takes place July 1-3.

Michelle Walker, Artistic Director of Hat Fair, said, ‘The festival only happens each year because of an army of volunteers. They are vital to the setting up and smooth running of Hat Fair.’

Volunteers help with information points for the expected 60,000 visitors, event set-up and liaison with over 200 artists from across the world. About a hundred people are needed to support Hat Fair’s small year round team.

‘We welcome all adults whatever their age or special requirements to become part of a fun, sometimes frantic and always unique festival,’ said Michelle.

Anyone over 18 can become a Hat Fair volunteer. For more information, visit hatfair.co.uk/volunteers.
